Maleic Resin

Maleic resin is obtained by reacting maleic acid or anhydride with a polyhydric alcohol such as glycerine in the presence of rosin or ester gum. There is a fairly rapid release of solvent; Compatible with nitrocellulose. Maleic resins also have very fast drying and good color retention; It is suitable for use in fast-drying white paints.
